In sales we always have our A Game on
Meet Alex, Sales District Manager who works in our Oral Healthcare business. We asked Alex to take over our @life.at.philips Instagram account for the week to share with us what her typical work week is like. Here is what she shared with us. 
​​​​​Hello, my name is Alex and I am the Sales District Manager for the Greater New York region in our Oral Healthcare business. I live in Stamford, Connecticut and I have been working for Philips for 4.5 years. I started my career at Philips as a Sales Planning Manager under the Business Development function and have now transitioned into the Oral Healthcare Sales team.

As a Philips Sales District Manager my job has two main responsibilities. The first is managing the accounts in the Manhattan West territory where I meet with customers (sometimes up to 15 customers a day) on a day to day basis to either give Zoom In office demonstrations or Philips Sonicare lunch and learns. These demonstrations provides our customers with the information and overview they need to learn about the benefits of our products. My second responsibility is coaching my team, which is located in Greater New York area. Often times I get to spend the day in the field with my teammates.

I always say I love what I do and the Philips culture is what keeps me motivated in my role. I love interacting with customers and helping dental professionals utilize our products to help improve patients’ lives. I also love being able to work with a great team such as our insides sales call center and marketing. We really do team up to provide our customers with solutions that matter.
​​​​​​​In sales, we always have to keep our A game on since we spend quite some time on the road, so when it’s time to relax I enjoy working out in HIIT classes or yoga. I also really enjoy spending time with family and friends and the best part of working for Philips is when your co-workers become part of your family and friends.
