Are you ready to
make an impact with care?
Our culture is what makes us
It’s who we are and how we work with each other to bring our purpose to life. Our culture is based on a single focus: delivering impact with care for patients, people and the planet.
Celebrating the people driving impact with care
What can you expect from a career at Philips? The chance to do the work of your life — with purpose, passion,
and maybe even see your face light up one of the most iconic billboards in the world!
A few months ago, we invited our employees to recognize colleagues who inspire them — and the response was incredible.
Dozens of heartfelt stories poured in, and fifty outstanding individuals were featured on a Times Square billboard!
Each of them embodies Philips’ culture and contributes every day to delivering better care to more people.
Will you be the next one?

What does impact with care mean to you?
Our culture isn’t guided by a prescriptive set of rules you must follow. It’s an invitation to embrace what unites us and makes us better, where we put the safety of patients, and a clear focus on quality and integrity, at the heart of everything we do.
Driving impact with care means putting yourself in the shoes of the people we serve to truly understand their needs – and then working with clarity and simplicity to meet those needs.
You take pride in executing each new project and seeing it through to the finish line. Because you know that’s how your ideas will flourish into solutions that help to address some of the world’s most pressing healthcare challenges.
Living our culture is about collaborating with people who share your passion to improve the lives of others, inspiring colleagues to do the best they can every day. You create a safe space for people to speak up and share their ideas, even if they’re different to yours. And you thrive on learning new skills as you go, because you know the world of difference it can make.
Our culture also means feeling empowered to take action when it’s needed most. And being accountable for your work because you know that it could change someone’s life for the better or help protect our planet for generations to come.
Harness the power of together
When you join Philips, you will notice the vibrant energy in our locations and the special bond between people. Being together sparks creativity, strengthens our sense of belonging, and gives us the confidence to learn and grow. As a team, we are globally connected and locally together.
Working flexibly is also part of who we are. Depending on your role, we offer different arrangements. Office based teams spend at least three days per week together in person, while our onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities, and field employees most effectively work at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
Sometimes, life calls for a little extra flexibility. If you have an office-based role, you can also request up to 20 days per year to work from another location, including abroad, around booked time off.
It’s all part of how we help you to thrive both personally and professionally when you join us in doing the work of your life to help the lives of others.
What does it take to be a leader at Philips?
As a Philips leader, you know that making an impact with care for patients, people, and the planet starts with you.
You care deeply about your team and lead authentically in your own unique way, motivating and empowering others to focus on what matters most and deliver the greatest impact, while never compromising on patient safety, quality and integrity. Leading by example, you take ownership of your decisions and take pride in seeing things through. You inspire your team to learn and own their growth, celebrating their individuality while cultivating collaboration. And you keep learning and growing too, knowing that each new skill brings you closer to becoming the kind of leader you’ve always wanted to be.
